In this workshop, we will dive into the world of the clown, where movement, improvisation, listening, playing, and being in the Now are key.
Through exercises and games, explore the art of physical comedy and poetics, leaving our thinking minds outside of the studio and connecting to our physical self and its impulses. We’ll sharpen our improvisational skills, embrace the joy of play, and move towards being fully present in the here and now.
Playground is an invitation to a playful and supportive environment where participants can unleash their creativity, discover their inner clown, and develop the skills needed to construct original work.
Thinking is overrated. being is the real deal. 🙂
Principles of the workshop:
● Clown as a state of presence
● Contact with the audience
● Red nose as a mask
● Movement analysis
● Amplification of movements
● Playfulness
● Composition of performative images and montage.
● Collaborative creation
● Rhythm and play.
The workshop takes place at DOCK 11 Kastanienallee 79 ·Berlin
– 5 days of work.
– 5 hours per day. (breaks included)
