The workshop explores the relationship between the human body in movement and the dynamic structures within nature, music and architecture. It invites participants to perceive architecture as «frozen music» and music as an architectural construction. Through a deeper understanding of fundamental movement dynamics inherent in these art forms, participants will learn to uncover the poetic essence within their own creative language.
EMBODIMENT is not just about exploration; it is about practical application. Our approach offers an insight into how you can learn to discover these movement dynamics and use them for the creation of your own work, whether as a dancer, actress, director, writer for the stage, musician or architect.
We will work linking movement and emotion, life and art, the physical body and the poetic body. Whether through gesture, sound, color, movement, each person is able to respond to their surroundings in a unique manner. It is the performative transposition of all these experiences that constitute the poetic essence of an embodied creative process.
Principles of the training:
● Balance between mind – body and emotion
● Body awareness and presence.
● Observation
● Focus, resistance and endurance
● Rhythm and musicality
● Playfulness
● Flow and grounding.
● Dialogue with tiredness, resistance, energy, weight control, focus, breathing, balance, flow, composition and awareness of the body’s center.
The workshop takes place at EDEN STUDIOS Breite Str. 43, 13187, Berlin
